Let's imagine you're already a popular guild leader, your guild members love you and all the guilds below you can't help but wish Man I want to be more like them..! That's when you can take the extra step while playing Tera Online. If you've got confidence, good allies and lots of time with a dedicated mind you could rule over a part of Tera itself. You could be elected to be head of a territory for the next three weeks getting to choose taxes, using npcs to get things done, use a announcement system to speak to the people under your rule, sending the people you don't like or are doing wrong to JAIL! Then on top of all that your guild gets these nifty white horse mounts that show off just how brilliant you are.The only catch is you need to be level 50 plus with a level three guild under you with bags of gold....30 million gold. I'm not sure how currency on Tera is but dang it's basically a presidential election. From what I can tell *dont take my word* you get to campaign for six days using whatever you want to get your name out there because once the ballot is sent out people will vote real time for you. You can run as a candidate for more political cities or you can win by PvP scores. Sounds perfect....right?
Now lets check back into reality, not all guilds are good... well more their leaders aren't good. Your going to get those who will do anything, throw the PvP ones aside. Your going to get big guilds that just love to beat the crap out of you, kill steal your mobs, and bully their way to the top. They might buy votes but cross your fingers...so far it seems like you can't abuse this system.I feel like this kind of system will keep the community interacting on many levels of suspense and fun competition.These kind of extra systems are what keep players around for a long time since it helps form friendships between players.
